2017 Cowlitz River Fishing Report:
The water on the Cowlitz is high and green right now with about 3 feet of visibility, there are decent numbers of winter steelhead by the Blue Creek hatchery as well as Springers in the lower river. Side-drifting for steelhead using beads is very effective. If you’re looking to target springers a diver and eggs/coon shrimp work great as well.
